Game of Thrones has been a massive Tv series and to mark the final series we have put a tour around Ireland taking in the amazing film set locations. But its not all about the TV series as the places will visit are some of the best kept secrets of Northen Ireand. Like Murlough Bay (beaches of Pyke) a dramatic cove in the north-east corner of Northern Ireland. Ballintoy Harbour (Iron Island) wonderfully medieval styled fishing port. Larrybane Quarry (The Baratheon’s camp in series 2) which has some stunning views down to the sea. Cairncastle (Winterfell) a small village in county Antrim. Castle Ward (The Stark Castle) a mixture of Gothic and classical style and managed by the national trust. Shanes Castle (Ned Stark was chained in the castle dungeons) which was built in 1345, so if you’re a fan of the TV series or not there’s something for everyone.
